Training House TEAM HIKE! Head out on this 7.9-mile loop trail near Port Republic, Virginia. Generally considered a moderately challenging route with beautiful waterfall views. Dogs and families welcome!

About the Event
We will meet at the Training House to carpool at 6am. Bring water and snacks! Dress appropriately (it may rain)! We will have April (girl scout leader) and GI Jane as guides. Dogs and families welcome. There are 2 waterfalls!
- Meet: Saturday morning at 6am at Training House (You do not have to meet at TH if you do not wish to car pool) Parking Area is MILE POST 84
- Review: 2 hour drive, carpool options, location, parking, use the bathroom!
- Fee: Shenandoah National Park charges a fee to enter. You can purchase an entrance ticket online or in person https://www.nps.gov/shen/planyourvisit/fees.htm
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. This trail includes two Water Falls if hiking out and back and three if you do the loop with Jones Run Trail and the Appalachian Trail. The upper falls are 63' and the lower is 28'. Jones Falls is 42' and its parking area is at milepost 84. It's a long downhill followed by a long uphill walk. Short distance to Loft Mountain Wayside for food afterward. The trail is well marked with concrete pillars telling you directions.
